Early Years Funded Entitlement & Charges

Pattern of Funded Hours

Funded Early Years Entitlement hours are offered during our normal opening hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 6:00 pm

Parents may choose how their funded hours are taken, subject to availability and staffing arrangements. Examples include:

• Morning sessions

• Afternoon sessions

• Full days

• Stretched attendance across the year

  The exact pattern of funded hours will be agreed with parents at registration.

Charges During Funded Entitlement Hours

Optional Chargeable Extras (Voluntary)

There are no compulsory charges for childcare during funded entitlement hours.

We do not charge:

• Top-up fees

• Registration fees

• Non-refundable deposits are a condition of taking up funded hours

• Charges for EYFS learning resources, activities, or materials

• Charges related to the delivery of the EYFS curriculum

• Charges for fruit or a teatime snack

  All funded entitlement hours are delivered completely free at the point of access.

Parents may choose to purchase the following optional extras, which are not a condition of taking up funded hours:

Meals

• Hot lunch (optional):

  • £2.15 per day (1–2-year-olds)

  • £4.00 per day (2–5-year-olds)

  Parents may alternatively provide a packed lunch at no cost.

Consumables:

Parents must provide their own consumables such as nappies, wipes and cream.

Additional Hours (Non-Funded)

Parents may purchase additional hours outside of their funded entitlement. These hours are charged as follows:

• 1–2 Year Olds

  • Full-time (weekly): £333.79

  • Daily rate: £66.76

  • Session: £33.38

  • Hourly rate: £8.35

• 2–5 Year Olds

  • Full-time (weekly): £317.62

  • Daily rate: £63.52

  • Session: £31.76

  • Hourly rate: £7.94

These charges apply only to hours not covered by funded entitlement.

Transparency & Choice

• All chargeable extras are voluntary

• Parents are free to choose funded-only attendance

• No child is disadvantaged if parents choose not to purchase extras

• Full details are discussed at registration and confirmed in writing

Availability

All places (funded and non-funded) are offered subject to availability and appropriate staffing ratios in line with EYFS requirements.
